1912-The National
Education association made a decision that there should be training
programs for teachers for sex education, because the teen pregnancy
rates were rising (Pardini).
19040s Post WWII -During
this time the Public Health service was strongly recommending that
schools had sex education classes (Pardini)
1953- The American Medical Association launched a program in
family life education.
HIV/AIDS epidemic in 1980s- The Surgeon General at the time published a report talking about what should be taught in schools when it comes to sex education.
